Conditions you should follow
- If any vehicle owner selected under the transport subsidy scheme then he or she will have to purchase a new vehicle within 3 month of period.
- Applicant can’t get permission to transfer subsidized vehicle to other name (selling) for a minimum of 5 years.
- Old vehicle must not have any kind of surcharge or penalties like token taxes, permit fees, passenger tax and a chassis cut piece.
- Applicant should provide regular compliance reports to the regional transport office (RTO).
- Applicant must condemn and scrap their old vehicle after the deregistration process complete.

How to apply for J&K Transport Subsidy Scheme?
You can check the application process by downloading the government order no. 65 – JK(TR) of 2022 from the official website of JK Transport. Or you can follow these simple steps listed below.
Step 1: Ensure to verify eligibility conditions.
Step 2: If you found eligible then deregister your vehicle from the valid scrap dealer and got deregistration certificate from the transport office.
Step 3: Take a simple A4 size paper and listed all the details of the vehicle along with necessary documents like deregistration certificate and all.
Step 4: Submit the application to your nearest RTO office.
Step 5: Once approved your application, you have to go with further process for a loan from the bank if required.
Step 6: After loan clears successfully, you have to purchase a new eco friendly vehicle within 3 months.
