Assam state government always try to launch a scheme which provides help to majority of the audiance. Same as they announced to provide financial grant to the girls who choose to go for higher education. For them, CM of Assam launched new scheme called Assam Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme (MMNM).
Through this welfare scheme every eligible girls who choose for higher education will be benefited by financial amount every month from Rs 1000 to Rs 2500.

About Assam Nijut Moina Scheme 2024
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced this MMNM Scheme on 12th June, 2024. Under this new initiative every eligible girls to receive financial amount up to Rs 2500 per month depends on their class of admission. Starting of the August month in the same year, CM Sarma sanctioned budget for the scheme and that is 1500 crore rupees.
Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme will help to reduce the figure of child marriages in the state and one good thing is more and more girls (daughters of Assam) inspired to go for higher studies that will drastically change the gross enrollment ratio (GER) of the state.
Main Objective
Women empowerment is the only goal behind to introduced this Nijut Moina Scheme by the state government. Along with that, due to this scheme GER will be improved and chances of child marriages in the state will be decreased. Due to increase in GER all girls will get a higher education and gradually child marriage tends to stop in the state.

Financial assistance under Assam MMNM Scheme
Assam state government has been directed that every year 1 million (10 lakh) female students will be able to get financial assistance under the scheme at the time of admission at predefined standard.
State govt allow those girl students who take admission on 11th standard, first year of graduation and first year of post graduation. You can easily understand like that…

Eligibility Criteria/Guidelines
- Without checking applicant’s economic conditions all the resident of Assam girl students will be eligible for the scheme.
- State government released the list of colleges and higher secondary schools list only these schools/colleges girl students are eligible.
- Already married girls are not eligible for this programme.
- In-service girls who are admitted in B.Ed course are also ineligible for the MMNM Scheme.
- Daughters of Ministers/MPs and MLAs are not eligible to avail scheme benefits.
- Those girls who got scooter under Pragyan Bharati scheme also not eligible to avail Nijut Moina amount.
- The higher education department scheme (Mobility grant scheme) now merged with Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme.

Nijut Moina Scheme Apply Online
Be frankly, there are no online way to apply for Nijut Moina program. Because state government doesn’t declared any official website regarding the scheme where you can apply online for the scheme. So you have go with offline application only which is stated as a step-by-step below.
Offline process
Step 1: First you need to collect application form from your institution in the head office.
Step 2: Now you have to fill all the necessary details like name, standard etc. and attach all the required documents.
Step 3: After completing the form details again you have to submit application form where you collected it.
Step 4: Now you have to wait for the confirmation because school/college head will submit your application on the official portal.
Step 5: Once confirmed your application, you received a confirmation message.
Step 6: Now you just watch the credited message whenever state government started disbursement amount.
