About Odisha Madho Singh Haath Kharcha Yojana 2024 (SMSHKS)

Odisha state government launched this scheme to provide financial assistance to ST students of the state. So, the students who take drop out from the higher secondary schools due to lake of money to spend on the education are able to avail further studies. Objective behind Madho Singh Haath Kharcha Yojana is to carry out education by providing them scholarship amount to attract for further studies.

As per the latest news, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate scheme on 15th November, 2024 and after that all eligible students can avail the scheme benefits into their bank account.

Madho Singh Scholarship Odisha Eligibility Criteria

• Students from Odisha State and studying in the secondary and higher secondary schools are eligible.
• Those who completed their 8th and 10th class are eligible to apply for the scheme.
• Only Schedule Tribe (ST) category students are eligible.
• Students who studying in government school or government aided school are eligible to avail scheme benefits.
• Both boys and girls from ST category are eligible.
• Family income of the applicant within the limit of 2.5 lakh per year.

Who are not eligible?

• Students who are not belongs to ST category as well as other than class 9 and class 11 students are not eligible.
• Those candidate’s family income is more than 2.5 lakh per annum also ineligible for the scheme.
• Those students who are studying in private schools are strictly prohibited to avail Shahid Madho Singh Haath Kharcha Yojana benefits.
