Deepam Scheme is one of the Super Six guarantees from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) during the last assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. Under this scheme party promised to provide free gas cylinder to the women, and now state government released the notification to provide three free gas cylinder in a year to the women on this Diwali.

Eligibility Criteria for free gas cylinder in AP
Women of the state whose age is above the 18 years are eligible to apply online for the Deepam Scheme to avail free gas cylinder. In this scheme state government has an objective to provide free gas cylinder to the BPL women beneficiaries. Further state government will release more criteria about the scheme soon.

Diwali Gift to the women:- Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced a Diwali gist for the women of the state. Deepam means light which is connected with Deepawali.
Budget Required:- State government needs around Rs 2684 crore to implement free gas cylinder scheme in the state. It means it will cost to the government about Rs 13,423 crore for the next five years.
