About Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana 2025 (GJAY)
In reality, this scheme is already implemented in the Odisha named Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana by the previous Government. But now current government change the name of the scheme to Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana Odisha and change some scheme benefits like Urban beneficiaries will get Rs 6 lakh free healthcare facilities in a year.
By implementing the scheme, nearly 3.5 crore citizens of Odisha will get a special health card or GJAY card which is used to avail free health treatment in the empanelled hospitals of the state.
Odisha Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana Launched Date
Odisha’s health and family welfare minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling informed on 30th December, 2024 that Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana will be launched in February, 2025. Under this scheme free medical treatment will be provided at 27,000 empanelled hospitals across the country. By the way, Pradhanmantri Jan Arogya Yojana also be implemented in February.
